Postage and packing costs

Order valued up to £35 postage will be  - £2.50
Orders over £35 postage will be  - £5.00 (Special Delivery or Overseas Express postage).
Orders over £150 postage will be free.

Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on rtviking. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. The placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.

General
To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age and accept delivery. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

Description
We have made every effort to display all our items as accurately as possible. However as colours and images vary depending on your own monitor and browser we cannot guarantee that products will be as exactly seen on your monitor.  Most products have been described with sizes/lengths given as accurately as possible.

Payment and Price
The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been confirmed.  All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.

 

If you are an international customer and VAT does not apply we will refund the VAT amount charged to you.

 

We employ the secure services of Paypal in order to accept online credit / debit card payments securely. Paypal provides very high levels of internet and physical security to ensure sensitive information is never compromised.

No goods will be despatched to the Customer until cleared payment has been received in full.
 

Delivery

Most items are available from stock and will be dispatched within 7 working days. If you require an item sooner, please let us know in the field marked 'special instructions' on the checkout page.  We acknowledge every order by e-mail and will advise a delivery date at that time.

Returns Policy
We are very confident that our descriptions and photos are accurate and you will be delighted with your purchase from rtviking.co.uk
However, as further peace of mind, if you are unhappy with your goods you are entitled to return them and cancel your order within 30 days from the date of delivery.
• The item must be returned in the same condition and original box in which it was received and the Security tag must be intact.

• There is no need to telephone us  when sending us a return. 
• Fill out the returns form found on the delivery note and send with the item to: Hjaltasteyn, 161 Commercial Street, Lerwick, Shetland, Scotland. ZE1 0EX

• We recommend sending returns by recorded delivery or special delivery (goods valued over £35) and keeping proof of postage.  Returns are sent at your expense.  When returning the item, for security reasons, please do not write any wording or terms that identifies the package as containing jewellery
• For reasons of hygiene, we cannot provide a refund or replacement for earrings or items of body jewellery unless the return is a result of our error or if the goods supplied are shown to be faulty

• Items that show signs of wear or have been resized, engraved, altered, or damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Damaged goods due to customers negligence will not be accepted. A personalised or engraved item will not be accepted for return. Any unauthorized and improperly boxed goods will be returned to sender.
• We believe in the quality of our products therefore we do not have built in costs to cover the cost of returns - as a result we will normally charge a 5% administration fee to cover the cost of processing your return, which is due to bank charges on the card payment and subsequent refund.
• Once the item is received, our returns department checks and approves the condition of the product in line with returns policy conditions. Rtviking.co.uk will then refund your money within 30 days of cancellation by refunding the credit or debit card that was used to purchase the item.
• Rtviking.co.uk will not be held liable for faults or consequences caused by your misuse, negligent handling or improper care or use of the goods.

 

Guarantee

All Hjaltasteyn jewellery is designed and made by us and carries a guarantee.  Our jewellery is warranted as being suitable for the purpose for which it is designed under fair wear and tear. Our liability under this warranty will be limited to the free repair of any item of jewellery acknowledged by us to be faulty providing such faults have not been caused by misuse, negligent handling or improper care of the goods.
